About this site

I built this site with two things in mind. I wanted to expand my previous site about the 996 to a complete overview of the 911's history because of my personal interest for the Porsche 911.
The second reasing for building this site is that I think this is a nice opportunity to show what I can do as an Industrial Designer.

So who am I actually?

That's usually a tough question to answer yourself, but I'll give it a go. As you might have noticed in the site, my name is Kevin Franke. I live in the Netherlands in a small village about 15 km from the sea. Currently I'm studying Industrial Design at the Technical University of Delft. March 2000 I will graduate. The areas of Industrial Design that I find the most interesting are where graphical design and ergonomics are combined. Things like user-interface design for consumer products or for computer-applications, such as the internet really fascinate me.
Another area of my interest is 'computer visualisation'. I like working with programs such as 3D studio Max, Pro-Engineer, Autocad, Coreldraw, Photoshop and more.
When I'm not behind the computer I like to ride my mountainbike (although there aren't many mountains to bike over here).
